2013 Art in the Garden Tour Garden Tour dates have been announced! Be sure to mark your calendar because you will not want to miss the 2013 Mint "Art in the Garden" Tour. The tour dates are Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21.
Six gorgeous gardens await you on our tour! You will enjoy the following special places: 1.) Robin and Michael Goodson, 1023 Sumac Drive 28211; 2.) Chipping Campden, an English cottage garden enhancing the residences found at Vernon Drive, Bibury Lane and High Street 28211; 3.) Carolyn and Matt Vanderberg, 1829 Queens Road 28207; 4.) Anne Gildea, 1156 Linganore Place 28203; 5.) Diana and Hugh Wrigley, 3021 Belvedere Avenue 28205; 6.) Kerry and Ralph Strayhorn, 2201 Rhododendron Court 28205.
Plein air artists will be painting in each of our six beautiful gardens. The art work is for sale, with a percentage benefiting the Charlotte Garden Club. Art work will also be for sale at the Sunday party from 4 - 6 pm. at the Mint Randolph following the tour. The celebratory party is included in your ticket price and features art, music, food and drink!

Since 1988, Plant Delights Nursery has been the choice of serious gardeners and plant collectors looking for the best and rarest perennial plants. We are pleased to have received the Perennial Plant Association Retail Award in 2011, the American Horticulture Society Commercial Award in 2002, and to have been selected as one of the Best Mail Order Plant Nurseries - Garden Design Magazine 2010.
All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Meetings are held in the Van Every Forum, Mint Museum of Art, 2730 Randolph Rd., Charlotte, NC 28207. Refreshments are served in the Atrium at 7 p.m., programs begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
Today, April 13, 2013 Larrie will be talking about Water in your Garden. Everything you wanted to know about fountains, disappearing fountains, and ponds. The workshop is free and will start at 1pm. Let us know you are coming, 704-334-3764. If you don't tell us, we will throw you in the pond!
Sometimes you just want to know more about a plant. Bonnie Plants has a great site that tells everything you ever wanted to know about their plants. We carry Bonnie plants because of the variety and the terrific well grown plants they offer.

Container Gardening April 6th 1pm to 3pm. Bring your own container or buy one of ours. Create a long lasting container bring home.
Water Gardens & Fountains April 13th 1pm to 3pm. Everything you ever wanted to know about water gardens and fountains.
Fairy Gardening April 20th 1pm to 3pm. Imagination a must. Bring fairies to your garden. Remember they need a place to Dance, Rest and Hide! All ages invited!
Herbs 101 April 27th 1pm to 3pm. Grow Herbs and learn how to use them.
